Here's what's included
• 1 × RUWI clamping bracket with toggle clamp
Which clamp holds your workpiece in place?
The Clamp Finder guides you from the workpiece to the right clamp.
The RUWI clamping bracket with toggle clamp connects aluminum profiles tool-free at a right angle to their base—another profile, a slotted table, or the slotted table of a machine. Its nose engages with the slot of the profile resting on top, while the integrated toggle clamp sits in the slot of the base. When you flip the lever, the clamp pulls the tab downward and presses the profile firmly against the base with a force of approximately 2 kN (slot 6) or 3 kN (slot 8); when clamped, the handle sits below the profile’s height and does not protrude. When you return the lever to its original position, the connection is released, and you can reposition the profile. This is how you position, secure, and connect profiles without using screws.
To install it, first insert the nose into the slot of the top profile, then insert the clamp from above at any point into the slot of the base: press against the spring force and rotate it 90 degrees so that the hammer nut sits across the slot flanks. Use the knurled ring to adjust the height and clamping force, then flip the lever; To release, follow the steps in reverse order; the individual steps are shown in the instructions under Downloads. The bracket is available in two sizes: for slot 6 (34 mm overall height, 6 mm adjustment height) and for slot 8 (44 mm overall height, 8 mm adjustment height). The body is made of die-cast zinc and burnished steel, and the eccentric lever is made of powder-coated cast aluminum.
Here's how to use it
- Connecting and securing profiles: In fixture construction, you can position cross profiles in seconds and tighten them securely with a single lever action, instead of threading slot nuts and screwing on brackets.
- Stops on Slotted Tables and Machine Tables: You can securely fasten a profile to a slotted table—such as the slotted table of a CNC machine—using a bracket, and reposition it in seconds as needed. The stop ruler is also adjusted according to this principle on the RUWI drilling table .
- Reinforcing the frame: In structures with varying configurations, the angle bracket connects the profiles at right angles, ensuring a secure, force-fit connection and keeping the structure in shape.
- Assembly aid for prototypes: Structures made of aluminum profiles are created and modified on the fly, and the connection points simply move along with them without the need for tools.
Does this fit your aluminum profile?
When ordering, select the slot width: Slot 6 or Slot 8. For the base plate, only the slot width matters—the clamp fits into Item, Bosch, and other system profiles, as well as into slotted tables and machine tables with Slot 6 or Slot 8. The profile on which it rests, into which the tab engages, must, however, be an Item profile or an Item-compatible profile: for the angle bracket with Slot 6, this is from the 30-series system; for the angle bracket with Slot 8, this is from the 40-series system. The tab is designed to match the slot shape of these profiles and does not fit into Bosch profiles. The toggle clamp mechanism corresponds to the Ø 15 mm toggle clamp or the Ø 20 mm toggle clamp; all sizes are listed in the toggle clamp overview.
