Here's what's included
• 1 × horizontal toggle clamp with clamping bolt
Which clamp holds your workpiece in place?
The Clamp Finder guides you from the workpiece to the right clamp.
The RUWI horizontal toggle clamp presses your workpiece horizontally against a stop, a positioning angle , or a second workpiece—the lateral counterpart to the vertical toggle clamp. Using the stainless steelclamping bolt with an Allen screw (SW 6), you can clamp it in any position within the 20-mmhole grid; with a length of 253 mm, it can also reach clamping points further inside.
The infinitely adjustable compensation of up to 35 mm accommodates varying spans without requiring you to make any adjustments. When opened, the clamp automatically retracts 13 mm and releases the workpiece—which speeds up changeovers during production runs. It works best in combination with a stop: The stop defines the position, and the clamp holds it securely in place. It is manufactured in Germany.
Here's how to use it
- Clamping against the stop: The positioning angle , or stop rail defines the position, and the clamp presses the workpiece against it—with repeatable accuracy for every part.
- Batch processing: Open the lever, the clamp moves back 13 mm, change the part, close the lever—the setting remains the same; only the workpiece changes.
- Clamping workpieces of varying thicknesses: The 35-mm shim accommodates different workpiece dimensions without having to reposition the bolt.
- Securing frames and joints: Press the two workpieces together while the vertical toggle clamp holds them down from above.
Does this go with your table?
The clamping bolt fits into any 20-mmhole grid – any RUWI lifting table , Festool MFT, Sauter Variobench, and homemade setups. The positioning angle; from above, the vertical toggle clamp. If you need a twist-resistant hold even under lateral forces, it’s available with a round adapter plate —it anchors with two clamping bolt in the grid.
