Accessories

The LS 103/40 Ec chain tenoner is a carpentry tool: for drilling mortise holes in solid wood and laminated wood, for gates, frames, timber frames, and roof trusses. Available in a special promotion set from September 1 through December 31, 2026, with a hoodie voucher, at a price you won’t find anywhere else. Weighing 8.7 kg, it’s lightweight for its class; 2,500 W, 4,050 min⁻¹, 10 m power cord, shipped in a box.

The milling chain runs around a guide bar, and the machine cuts vertically into the wood. The installed 28 × 40 × 100 mm set means: chain width 28 mm, slot width 40 mm, cutting depth 100 mm—all in a single pass. With a 150 mm set, it cuts to a depth of 150 mm. The long crosscut fence holder with a wide adjustment range allows the machine to make contact even on large cross-sections. The clamping system allows for quick chain changes; the chain is retensioned with the chain guard installed.

Here's how to use it

  • Drilling holes in solid wood and laminated wood: Set the cross stop, position the machine, and start drilling. For longer holes, reposition the drill and continue drilling.
  • Deeper and guided: The FG 150 guide frame (200980, available upon request) guides the machine during joinery work and is required for 150-series sets.
  • Slotting: The SG 230, SG 400, and SG 500 (upon request) slotting machines can create slots up to 500 mm deep.

Does this fit in your workshop?

For mortise holes in frame lumber thicknesses that your slot drill or the DuoDübler can handle, this remains the quickest way. The chain chisel comes into play where the beams begin.
