RUWI and Aigner
Let’s join forces. To make the workshop even better.
Brief description
The AIGNER Contermax is a cross-clamping table designed for a task that frequently arises in many workshops: cleanly milling profiles and counter-profiles on the end face. This is precisely where things get tricky—milling is done across the grain, the workpiece is often narrow, and it’s easy to lose control when working freehand.
The Contermax guides the workpiece smoothly and securely past the cutter. You screw a splinter block onto the infinitely adjustable slide bar and clamp the workpiece in front of it; the splinter block supports the exit edge and ensures tear-free results. You can loosen and tighten the clamp tool-free using the rotary knob—making workpiece changes quick and easy, even during production runs.
The long, plastic-coated aluminum handle keeps your hand at a safe distance from the tool and gives you more control. The main body is made of anodized aluminum, 420 mm long with a 200 mm clamping length, and features space for protruding tools. AIGNER manufactures this safety equipment in Germany.
Possible applications
- Milling counter profiles on frames and fronts – with repeatable precision on the front edge
- Cut the profiles across the grain at the end, using scrap wood to prevent splintering
- Reliably guide even narrow workpieces with limited contact surface
- Change workpieces tool-free using the rotary knob – fast in mass production
- The hand remains at a safe distance from the tool thanks to the long handle
