Joining forces to make the workshop better.
Brief description
When milling on a bench router with a conventional stop, there is always a gap in the guide near the tool. That is exactly where the workpiece becomes difficult to control, and that is also where the risk of the workpiece being pulled toward the router bit increases. At best, this results in an unsightly finish; at worst, your fingers could get caught in the tool. That is why, when milling, you should use a stop that is as continuous as possible to minimize the gap near the tool.
In practice, this gap is often closed with an auxiliary fence. That works, but it's cumbersome – especially when you need to readjust the tool height or routing depth.
The AIGNER Integral Fence integrally closes this gap by design. Integrated guide bars create a continuous guiding surface even in the tool area. Unneeded bars pivot back, while needed bars close the space right up to the tool.
The stop halves can be continuously adjusted continuously tool diameter tool height. The cassettes with the guide ribs are also height-adjustable. This allows the clearance around the tool to be reduced to the necessary amount—ensuring precise workpiece guidance and clearer adjustment.
This creates a continuous guide directly on the tool—without the need for a temporary workaround. That’s why some machine manufacturers, such as Martin, SCM, and Felder Format 4, already come equipped with the AIGNER Integral Stop right from the factory.
Other variants and designs are available. You can find a selection in the AIGNER catalog. If you have questions about the right design, feel free to contact us.
Applications
- Routing long as well as very short workpieces with consistent guiding and no interruption in the fence.
- Milling of fillings with tool diameter large tool diameter with only a narrow contact area against the stop
- Setup and test routing without disassembling a temporary auxiliary solution.
- Additional fixtures and hold-down devices can be easily adapted.
- Lower noise levels compared to an auxiliary fence board solution.
