router table, The “ lifting table ” and sawing system are on display in Seeshaupt—at router table , you can see firsthand what pre-assembled tools mean in everyday use: You switch tools instead of having to reconfigure them. Zellmer demonstrates the “ drilling table ” by appointment; a quick call before you head out will let you know what’s currently set up.

From Professional to Professional Since 1984

Hans Zellmer founded the company in 1984; for over 40 years, it has specialized in woodworking machinery and tools. Today, the second generation of the family runs the business: Stefan Zellmer is a master carpenter himself and specializes in large-scale machinery, while his brother Michael, a business professional, oversees the financial side of the operation—and the founder remains actively involved. This combination defines the company’s approach: advice on an equal footing, from people who have mastered the craft themselves. That is precisely what lies behind the motto “Professionals at Work.”

The exhibition in Seeshaupt: try things out instead of just looking at them

The retail store features a wide selection of products you can touch and try out, ranging from stationary machines to hand tools—and you can test out many of them before you buy. Especially with tools that you can only truly evaluate in use, this lets you try out what works best for your job instead of ordering based on a spec sheet. And if you can’t make it to Seeshaupt, we’ll come to you: Zellmer will consult with you right in your workshop upon request, and larger machines are planned on-site anyway.

Brands of Tools and Machinery

For hand-held power tools and accessories, Zellmer carries Festool, Mafell, Makita, Metabo, Milwaukee, Bosch, FEIN, Flex, DeWalt, and Lamello, as well as sharpening equipment from Tormek, milling and sawing tools from Guhdo, and hand tools from Bessey, Knipex, Wera, Wiha, and Stabila. For stationary machines, the company partners with the SCM Group, Altendorf, Striebig, Hebrock, Hofmann, Holzkraft, Kündig, and UNTHA—ranging from the “ sliding table saw ” to vertical panel saws and edge banding machines, all the way to sanders, dust extraction systems, and shredding equipment. This way, you can get your machine, tools, and dust extraction system from a single point of contact who knows both.

Buying Machinery and After-Sales Service

A machine is an investment in your business’s competitiveness—not just an off-the-shelf purchase. That’s why Zellmer starts with a consultation—at your location, if you prefer—to discuss which workpieces, which materials, production volumes, available space, and budget. Based on this, we provide a recommendation, followed by planning, delivery, and commissioning, including training.

And if something goes wrong: Our in-house workshop handles maintenance, repairs, and replacement parts—for both power tools and stationary machines. Instead of sending a broken device far away, you have a local contact who knows the equipment and, if necessary, has even worked on it before.
