From an imperial and royal enterprise to a global company
The beginnings of Schachermayer date back to 1838, when Joseph Schachermayer founded a locksmith's shop in Linz. His son developed the business into an ironmongery and one of the most successful companies in the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy.
Today, Schachermayer operates internationally and has branches in Germany, Italy, Hungary, Slovenia, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro and Romania, among others.

"Living, building, manufacturing" is the company's motto. In printed catalogs and in the online store, you can find almost any work machine and suitable accessories thanks to clearly structured categories. Thousands of products are clearly structured and can be ordered quickly and easily.
For example, the woodworking area currently comprises 36 large machines, 162 small machines and over 1,200 consumables, which you can easily select and order online.
