From sharpening service to leading trading house – 50 years of Miller
The story begins in 1975 when Friedrich Miller took over a tool sharpening shop in Leutkirch and built it into a machine and tool dealership. In 1984, Miller moved to the new Löwencenter in Leutkirch and became the factory representative for the Felder Group – a key step for machine sales. New premises in Leutkirch-Adrazhofen followed in 1988, then a new building in Aichstetten in 1993, where the first in-house exhibition took place in 1994, and the exhibition space later grew to 2,500 m². In 1997, a branch in Mönchweiler in the Black Forest was added. From 2002, Miller included Festool in its product range, later DeWalt and Makita. In 2018, the company returned to its founding location in Leutkirch: a 4,000 m² "experience world" for woodworkers was created, along with a 3,500 m² logistics center. In 2025, Miller celebrated its 50th anniversary with nearly 100 employees.
The Miller Experience World: See machines in action
The core of the concept is the Miller Experience World – a 4,000 m² exhibition at their Leutkirch headquarters, where you can touch and try out the full range of machines and tools. From small planers or turning devices to CNC machining centers, machines are ready for operation, with many top brands having their own demo stations. This lets you experience how a machine truly works before buying – a real advantage, especially for larger investments. This is complemented by personal advice from experienced specialists on site.
Miller Online Shop mima.de: Quality meets variety
Since 2016, Miller has operated the online shop mima.de. There, you'll find over 50,000 stock items – from extraction technology and power tools to used machines, plus workwear, consumables, and accessories. A large warehouse ensures high availability, so orders are usually ready for dispatch quickly. This way, the shop complements the Experience World with a digital option.
The product range: everything for wood and plastic processing
Miller provides all the equipment for wood processing from a single source: stationary wood and plastic processing machines of all sizes – circular saws, routers, planers, CNC machining centers, panel saws, and special machines – as well as power tools from leading brands, including Felder, Festool, Makita, Mafell, DeWalt, Milwaukee, and Fein. In addition, there's extraction technology, safety and precision accessories, used machines, hand tools, and machine tools. Instead of competing with DIY stores, Miller has positioned itself as a quality-focused full-range supplier with over 50,000 items today – for the ambitious hobby workshop as well as for the medium-sized joinery.
Service: more than just a supplier
A hallmark of Miller is their extensive service. Over 15 in-house service technicians handle delivery with their own fleet, setup and instruction, on-site maintenance and repair, as well as installations, such as for extraction systems. A spare parts and maintenance service also applies to machines bought decades ago – this ensures a long service life for your investment. The product advisors are experienced craftspeople themselves and support you from workshop planning and extraction system installation to specific requirements. Here you can find the entire Miller GmbH team.

Discussions at RUWI at the Miller in-house exhibition
Twice a year, in spring and autumn, Miller opens its doors for its in-house exhibition. The exhibition then becomes a platform for the entire industry: over 20 manufacturers and brands send their specialists to Leutkirch, showcase new products, and share their knowledge directly with users. Live demonstrations, workshops, and personal exchanges make these days a meeting point for woodworking enthusiasts. We'll be there as an exhibitor. All dates and details for the Miller in-house exhibition.
Leutkirch im Allgäu – regionally rooted
Leutkirch im Allgäu is more than just a company headquarters for Miller. Their return to the founding location in 2018 was also a commitment to their home region – everything once started just a few kilometers away. Thanks to good motorway connections in the triangle between Lake Constance, Allgäu, and Upper Swabia, customers from all over Baden-Württemberg and Bavaria, as well as from Austria and Switzerland, come to Leutkirch. Regional involvement is part of it: for example, Miller organizes woodturning workshops together with the Drehpunkt Allgäu woodturners' association.
