Kirchner Woodworking Machines was founded in Gerolzhofen in 1967 and is still run as a family business today, now by managing director Marius Kirchner. On 3,000 m², you'll find power tools, carpentry and large machines, plus accessories for every step of the process – with advice from 30 employees who come from the field. In addition, there are always 450 to 500 used machines: cleaned, checked, and ready for their second workshop life.

Whether it's sawing, planing, routing, drilling, or dowelling – at Kirchner, you get new and used machines from a single source. For new equipment, you'll find brands like Festool, Mafell, Bosch, Knipex, Tormek, and Flex; each device comes with a precise technical description, so you know what you're getting before you buy.

The used machinery sector is Kirchner's real strength: 450 to 500 machines are always in stock, cleaned and checked through test runs. For many workshops, this is the pragmatic way to get a larger machine without having to pay the full new price.

And if something does get stuck: Kirchner has its own repair workshop and skilled staff who maintain and repair machines. If you buy there, you can also have it serviced there – that keeps things efficient and the workshop running.

Safe sawing: why it's worth checking out.

Hands sliding table saw most at risk when using a sliding table saw . The German Wood and Metal Workers’ Compensation Association notes that more than one-third of all workplace accidents result in hand injuries—the most common type of injury in woodworking shops, often occurring while operating the machine. This is exactly where the RUWI for sliding table saws comes in: It makes cutting narrow, short, and angled workpieces safer—in other words, the situations where experience shows things can get tight. For over 25 years, Gerd Kirchner has been collecting old carpentry machines, hand tools, and literature. On around 500 m², there are over 100 machines and devices – including many antique unique pieces –, about 2,000 hand tools, and more than 60,000 pages of specialist literature. The museum showcases the development of woodworking over several centuries.

This aligns with what connects us with Kirchner: good tools deserve respect, regardless of their manufacturing year. Here, you can experience this attitude firsthand.
