Kirchner Woodworking Machinery was founded in Gerolzhofen in 1967 and remains a family-run business to this day, now under the leadership of Managing Director Marius Kirchner. Spanning 3,000 m², you’ll find power tools, carpentry and heavy-duty machinery, as well as accessories for every step of the process—all backed by advice from 30 employees with hands-on experience. In addition, there are always 450 to 500 used machines in stock: cleaned, inspected, and ready for their second life in the workshop.

From professional to professional: new machines, used machines, in-house service

Whether you need to saw, plane, mill, drill, or drive dowels—at Kirchner, you can find both new and used machines all in one place. Our new product lineup includes brands such as Festool, Mafell, Bosch, Knipex, Tormek, and Flex; each tool comes with a detailed technical description so you know exactly what you’re getting before you buy.

The used equipment division is Kirchner's real strength: 450 to 500 machines are always in stock, cleaned and tested through trial runs. For many workshops, this is the practical way to upgrade to a larger machine without having to pay the full price of a new one.

And if something does break down: Kirchner has its own repair shop and skilled staff who maintain and repair the machines. Customers who buy there can also have their machines serviced there—this keeps the lines of communication short and the shop running smoothly.

The Kirchner online store is available 24/7. Using filters for price, category, or manufacturer, you can quickly find the right tool or machine you’re looking for, including an indication of whether an item is in stock. Questions are answered by the same team that works in the showroom. Shipping within Germany takes 1 to 3 business days; alternatively, you can pick up your order and take a look around the showroom while you’re at it.

Safe Sawing: Why It's Worth Watching

Hands are most at risk when using a panel saw. The German Wood and Metal Workers’ Compensation Association notes that more than a third of all workplace accidents result in hand injuries—the most common type of injury in woodworking shops, often occurring while operating the machine. This is exactly where the RUWI safety system for panel saws comes in: It makes cutting narrow, short, and angled workpieces safer—in other words, the situations where experience shows things can get tight. The Carpentry Museum at Kirchner

For over 25 years, Gerd Kirchner has been collecting old woodworking machines, hand tools, and literature. Spread across approximately 500 square meters, the collection includes over 100 machines and devices—many of which are unique antique pieces—about 2,000 hand tools, and more than 60,000 pages of technical literature. The museum traces the evolution of woodworking over several centuries.

This reflects what we have in common with Kirchner: good tools deserve respect, regardless of when they were made. Here, you can experience that philosophy firsthand.

Admission is free. Tours are available by appointment—it’s best to give us a quick call in advance.
