From a horse stable on Maximinstraße to a specialty store
The story begins in 1948, when Eugen Hees and Heinz Peters opened a small hardware store selling hardware and tools in a former horse stable on Maximinstraße in Trier. Over the decades, it grew into a full-range retailer: in 1972, the move to Schöndorferstraße led to the addition of tools, power tools, building components, and eventually woodworking machines. Since 2001, the company has been located at 4 Metternichstraße; in 2015, the showroom was expanded to 4,300 m², and in 2023, HEES + PETERS celebrated its 75th anniversary—always under the motto “Let’s get to work together.”
