RUWI at Hans Papenbroock's
Papenbroock carries our underfloor milling machines in sizes S, M, and L, along with an extensive range of accessories—from stop and curved guides to the 3D unit, table extension, clamping plates, and mounting kits. The router table offers pre-set tools so you don’t have to switch them out.
The specific models currently available in Rellingen vary—a quick call before you head out will clarify this, and at the annual in-house exhibition, you’ll see the systems in action anyway.
Since 1949: From the Milk Shop to Rellingen
The story begins on May 1, 1949, when Hans Papenbroock, a merchant born in Mecklenburg, founded a company specializing in carpentry supplies in an empty dairy store in Hamburg’s Stellingen district. At first, he reached his customers on foot; later, by streetcar; and finally by bicycle, which he also used for deliveries. During the post-war reconstruction period, the company grew rapidly, moving through several locations in Hamburg, until 1972–73, when it built its own facility with an administrative wing in the Rellingen industrial park—today’s headquarters. In 1993, Hans Papenbroock fulfilled a dream by opening a branch in Lübz: a company in his native Mecklenburg. In 2016, after six months of renovation, the main store reopened with an expanded showroom—today, the company has been in business for over 75 years.
The Product Line: For Businesses of All Sizes
At the headquarters in Rellingen, approximately 45 employees serve customers in the fields of joinery, carpentry, interior finishing, and industry. The product range extends from the “ sliding table saw ” to vertical panel saws, including table and underfloor routers, planers, drills, and combination machines, edge banding machines, sanding and brushing machines, joinery systems for timber construction, and equipment for gluing and pressing, all the way to CNC machining centers. In addition, we offer dust extraction, compressed air, waste disposal and heating systems, material handling, software, and the right tools—machines, dust extraction systems, and consumables from a single point of contact who has decades of experience with solid wood, panel materials, and plastics.
Focus on HOMAG: From Design to Modernization
Papenbroock has been a HOMAG partner for over 30 years. The product range extends from CNC machining centers to vertical panel saws and edge banding machines, all the way to drilling and doweling technology. Especially when getting started with CNC or nesting production, having a direct line to the manufacturer is a practical advantage: design, commissioning, and future upgrades all come from a single source. And because a CNC machine is only as good as the team that programs it, hands-on training on HOMAG’s woodWOP software is included—so your team can maximize the machine’s potential from day one, rather than having to navigate costly learning curves on their own.
Buying Machinery: New, Used, or From Stock—and After-Sales Service
A machine is an investment in your company’s competitiveness—not just an off-the-shelf purchase. That’s why Papenbroock starts with a consultation—which, upon request, can be conducted on-site by a regional specialist consultant for Hamburg, Schleswig-Holstein, or Lower Saxony—to determine: what workpieces, what materials, what quantities, how much space, and what budget. This information forms the basis for our recommendation. Delivery, installation, and commissioning are all handled in-house, and the appropriate exhaust systems, compressed air, and waste disposal are planned right from the start.
Not every investment has to be a new machine: Used machines are serviced, overhauled, and cleaned by our own service technicians before they are returned to a workshop. If you’re in a hurry, you can opt for a machine from stock—whatever is in stock is delivered quickly. If needed, Papenbroock will accept your old machine as a trade-in.
And if something goes wrong: About ten of our own service technicians are on the road throughout northern Germany—providing inspections and maintenance, repairs and replacement parts, machine relocations, and upgrades that extend a machine’s service life. We also offer our own sharpening service: Sharpening is usually significantly less expensive than replacing high-quality tools and helps maintain consistent cutting quality.

The highlight of the exhibition is our annual in-house trade show, featuring new products, live demonstrations, and trade show pricing—the perfect opportunity to compare multiple solutions under real-world conditions in just a few days.

It has been tested by the German Social Accident Insurance Association (BGHM) and awarded the DGUV seal of approval. You can find out which model is right for your saw during a consultation in Rellingen.
Can I watch * RUWI * in Rellingen?
Call ahead, and you'll know for sure. The products currently on display at the RUWI exhibition center are subject to change—a quick call to +49 4101 39070 will save you a wasted trip. During the annual in-house exhibition, the systems are in operation anyway.
Will Papenbroock accept my old machine as a trade-in?
Yes, if needed. Bring this up during the consultation—especially when upgrading to a larger or newer machine, a trade-in reduces the investment and saves you the trouble of selling your old machine yourself.
