RUWI In the Randstad: GereedschapPro in Haarlem
As a tool manufacturer based in the Black Forest, we work with specialty retailers that carry our tools. In the Randstad, that’s GereedschapPro in Haarlem—a curated tool shop west of Amsterdam that stocks precision brands from North America alongside top European brands—and RUWI lifting table . If you’ve ever flipped through American woodworking magazines and wondered where to find these tools in Europe, you’ve come to the right place. On this page, you’ll find out what we offer there, who runs the store, and the best way to get there.
The RUWI lifting table at GereedschapPro
GereedschapPro carries the RUWI lifting table – a height-adjustable workbench with a hydraulic pump, allowing you to work at a comfortable, back-friendly height – complete with matching accessories. It’s available to try out at our store in Haarlem, and that’s exactly why it’s worth a visit: You can only tell if a working height is right for you by how it feels on your own back, not by looking at the spec sheet. Our other systems – router tablesthe safety system for sliding table saws and the drilling table – are available for demonstration by GereedschapPro upon request.
Sander Schuiten: From Product Designer to Tooling Entrepreneur
Behind GereedschapPro is Sander Schuiten, a trained industrial product designer. His journey into the tool business began out of frustration: Unable to find high-quality, affordable milling jigs, he designed them himself and sold them through his own website. Later, he conceived and developed the well-known Dutch tool platform Toolnation for a machine tool dealer before focusing entirely on GereedschapPro. This designer’s perspective continues to shape the store to this day—an eye for whether a tool truly works in everyday use, not just on paper. In the Dutch woodworking community, Sander is a well-known figure: someone who deliberately goes against the grain and curates a selection of products you simply can’t find anywhere else.
From an online bathroom store to a brick-and-mortar store in Haarlem
GereedschapPro was founded in 2014 and started as an online store run from home—with Systainers in the hallway, Mafell saws in the bathroom, and a shipping container in the yard—initially selling mainly through Marktplaats. When that was no longer enough, the first brick-and-mortar store opened in Haarlem in 2015, followed in early 2020 by a move to a building three times as large on Eysinkweg. Customers like to call the store a “Snoepwinkel”—a candy store for tool enthusiasts, where almost everything from the online store is available in person and can be tried out.
GereedschapPro gained recognition beyond the woodworking community through *DIY Masters*, a home improvement competition show on RTL4 and Videoland: The store supplied tools and accessories, Sander Schuiten served as a judge and explained the equipment to the contestants, and the showroom in Haarlem served as a filming location for a later season.
Curated Brands—and Expert Knowledge on the Track System
GereedschapPro’s hallmark is its selection. From North America come precision brands that are otherwise hard to find in the Netherlands: Woodpeckers, Incra, JessEm, MicroJig, TSO Products, Kreg, and Veritas—primarily high-precision measuring, marking, and routing equipment. In addition, there’s UJK from the UK and, from Europe, Mafell, Metabo, Mirka, Lamello, Wera, Wiha, Stabila, Sjöberg, and Festool accessories. The lineup is rounded out by specialists such as VikingArm, Veto Pro Pac, Oneida-Air for dust extraction, and Axminster for stationary machines.
The product range extends from sawing (plunge saws, crosscut saws, table saws, and band saws, including Japanese saws) to milling—including milling tables, milling lifts, and jigs—drilling, planing, and sanding, all the way to joining with pocket-hole systems, Lamello, Domino, and connectors such as Clamex and Tenso—as well as woodturning lathes, including tools and chucks, measuring and marking, workshop equipment, dust-free working, and CNC technology.
One area where the team really excels is router tables and the American track system: miter and T-tracks, featherboards, coping sleds, and jigs for dovetail joints. The catch: These U.S. systems don’t fit European machines out of the box. GereedschapPro knows the solutions that allow these precision American accessories to work on a Mafell Erika, for example—and our RUWI router table also fits into this ecosystem. Anyone who wants to not only buy a router table but also get the most out of it will find the know-how and components they need here.
Tool Tests, Blog, PROdag, and HoutPro+
GereedschapPro doesn’t see itself as just a mail-order retailer, but as a source of knowledge: Its blog features detailed, independent tool reviews—such as in-depth comparison tests of plunge saws and jigsaws, written by experienced users on the team—as well as expert articles on what really matters when it comes to tools. The store regularly turns into a tool festival: At PROdag, nearly 20 brands are represented by experts on-site, giving live demonstrations and letting visitors try out the tools for themselves—a small, particularly relaxed tool fair. In addition, GereedschapPro also exhibits at trade shows such as HoutPro+.
Private Shopping, Pickup, and Shipping
When it comes to visiting the store, GereedschapPro takes a unique approach: Because the focus is on personalized advice, the store offers private shopping by appointment—you sign up, and the right product specialist takes the time to assist you, rather than giving advice on the fly. In addition, the store is open on Monday and Thursday afternoons, as well as on the first Saturday of the month. Regardless of these hours, you can pick up online orders on weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the warehouse at the back of the building—or have them delivered: Orders placed on weekdays before 2:30 p.m. are usually shipped the same day. Price-conscious shoppers will also find an outlet and “Second Chance” section featuring discounted tools.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will these American track accessories fit my European milling machine?
Usually, yes—but rarely right away. Miter tracks, featherboards, and sleds from Incra, Woodpeckers, or MicroJig are designed for U.S. dimensions; for European machines, you’ll need the right rails, adapters, or insert plates. That’s exactly why GereedschapPro is the place to go: The team knows which combination will work with your router before you place your order.
Can I try out the RUWI lifting table in Haarlem?
Yes, it’s in the store—and “ working height ” is exactly what you should try. Check the opening hours (Monday and Thursday afternoons, as well as the first Saturday of the month) or schedule a private shopping appointment at +31 23 760 23 76—then you’ll have time for a proper demonstration.
The store is only open twice a week—how else am I supposed to get my tools?
There are three ways: through private shopping by appointment, if you’d like advice; by picking up your online order at the warehouse on weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; or by shipping—if you order on weekdays before 2:30 p.m., the package is usually shipped the same day. The limited store hours aren’t part of a cost-cutting measure, but rather the flip side of the fact that we provide personalized advice here by appointment and take the time to do so.
