With the “ RUWI ”adapter plate , you can connect two aluminum profiles of the same size in parallel next to each other – tool-free – in seconds and without screws. The plate contains two quick-release clamps with external threads, which are screwed in and locked in place with a locking nut. Their center-to-center distance corresponds exactly to the profile width: 30, 40, or 45 mm. This way, one clamp engages in the groove of each of the two profiles. You can insert each clamp into the groove from above at any point: lift the lever, press it into the groove against the spring force, rotate it 90 degrees, and flip the lever down. As you do this, an eccentric mechanism pulls the hammer nut against the undercut of the groove and presses the plate firmly against both profiles. To release, follow the steps in reverse order; the individual steps are shown in the instructions available under Downloads.
You can adjust the clamping height using the knurled rings to fit your profiles. The “ adapter plate ” is available in three versions: for groove 6 and a 30-mm profile, with a 60 × 30-mm plate and two quick-release clamps (Ø 15 mm) spaced 30 mm apart; for 8-slot and 40-mm profiles, with an 80 × 40-mm plate and two quick-release clamps (Ø 20 mm) spaced 40 mm apart; for 10-slot and 45-mm profiles, with an 87 × 40-mm plate and two quick-release clamps (Ø 20 mm) spaced 45 mm apart. The plates for slot 6 and slot 8 are made of black-painted steel; the plate for slot 10 is made of aluminum. Each clamp exerts a force of approximately 1.5 kN (Ø 15 mm) or 2.5 kN (Ø 20 mm) clamping force .
Here's how to use it
-
Exhibition stand construction: You can assemble walls, counters, and displays made of aluminum profiles element by element in a single step—the stand is up in no time and can be taken down and packed up just as quickly after the trade show.
-
Machine enclosures: You can remove protective components and covers that need to be taken out for maintenance or inspection without using tools, and then reinstall them without having to search for screws.
-
Mobile enclosures and partitions: You can set up protective walls, screens, and partitions made of aluminum profiles wherever they're needed and then take them down again afterward.
-
Lean workstations and assembly stations: You can adjust workstations and material supply as soon as processes change, instead of having to reassemble everything.
-
Events, Store Design, and Studio: You'll reconfigure stage set pieces, merchandise displays, and racks for lighting and backdrops depending on the event, season, or set.
-
Test benches, training, and continuing education: In laboratories, development departments, and training workshops, setups are constantly changing—profiles are repositioned and reconnected without causing wear on the profiles or threads.
Does this fit your aluminum profile?
When ordering, select the groove width and profile size: Groove 6 with a 30 mm profile, Groove 8 with a 40 mm profile, or Groove 10 with a 45 mm profile. Unlike with individual quick-release clamps, both factors are important here: The clamps fit into any groove of the selected width, but the fixed center-to-center distance fits only on profiles of the corresponding width. The manufacturer, however, does not matter—Item, Item-compatible, Bosch, and other system profiles can be connected as long as the groove width and profile width match. The integrated clamps correspond to the Ø 15 mm quick-release clamp with external thread or the Ø 20 mm quick-release clamp with external thread; all sizes are shown in the quick-release clamp overview.
